Find your balance
Yoga is about finding balance between your inner world and your outer world. The 8 limbs of yoga offer a variety of practical tools and techniques to help you keep your balance as you walk through life. My class combines active and restorative yoga poses with a sprinkle of yoga philosophy, breathwork, and meditation designed to physiologically reset your nervous system. Smaller class sizes ensure a safe environment where I can engage in questions, conversation, and feedback and give a more personalized experience!
Meet Hannah
Yoga Teacher at the Center for Yoga in East Lansing, MI
Hi I'm Hannah! I was introduced to yoga as a teenager through travels to Hatha Yoga and Kriya workshops with my mom. She loved "dragging" me along, but obviously my curiosity for spiritual practices kept me willing to go on these adventures. It wasn't until after college that I started my own search for a practice that helped me connect with myself on a higher level. I started practicing Iyengar Yoga and it has been a part of my life ever since. When I can't think myself out of a situation (anxiousness, difficult decisions, conflict) the answer is always yoga. My intention for yoga has never been to workout or sweat. It has always been to slow me down, ground me, and help me move through life with clarity.

In 2016, I completed my 300 hour YTT with Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher Ruth Fisk. I’ve studied Restorative Yoga with Judith and Lizzie Lasater totaling 60 hours of restorative yoga teacher training. I continue to grow my understanding of yoga in person and virtually with my teachers. I currently teach at the Center for Yoga in East Lansing, the same studio where I fell in love with yoga I received my training.

I teach from the heart with humility and humor hoping to spark the same curiosity that led me to yoga while giving my students the confidence to start their own home practice!
